Bluey's Queenscliff - A Small Cottage by the Harbour and New Marina.

Named after an iconic fisherman well known to most locals, this lovely renovated fisherman's cottage is small and charming. With a cosy three bedrooms it is located in the perfect holiday hot spot in the Fishermen’s Flats area of picturesque Queenscliff. Only a short walk to the harbour, ferry terminal, boat ramp, blues train and local eateries – its all super convenient but at the same time you have all the privacy in the world as Bluey’s is tucked away at the waters edge of Beach Street.

This gorgeous cottage carries the history of yesteryear but with recent renovations and contemporary furnishings guests will feel so at home, it will be a struggle to leave. It is an ideal for families with young children; with a SMALL living area and only ONE bathroom, is not suitable for 8 - 10 adults (bunks are only suitable for children) but it's lovely for a family to share and enjoy each other's company. It offers R/C aircon in all bedrooms and the living area.

The three bedrooms are configured as 2 x double beds in bedroom 1, 2 sets of singles bunks (children only) in bedroom 2, and 1 x queen bed in the main bedroom, sleeping a total of 6 adults, or if including children, 10 guests in total. The only bathroom is 2 way access from the main bedroom and hall. A separate powder room has just a toilet. The open plan living, kitchen and dining are beautifully furnished with a relaxed Hampton look and boasts loads of natural light. The back sunny west facing deck overlooks the bridge to Swan Island – perfect for long drawn out brunches or summer BBQ’s! The kitchen has all modern conveniences including a coffee machine (using ground coffee).

This is a dual access property which makes it ideal for guests with small boats wishing to utilize the nearby boat ramp, cyclists, or those requiring additional car parking. The golf course is just across the bridge and the harbour only a stones throw away.

Pets:
Pets are not permitted at Blueys.

Linen:
Doonas and pillows are provided - however linen is not provided it can be added as an extra at the time of booking or you can bring your own sheets, pillow cases, doona covers, towels, bath mats & tea towels.
The bedding configuration is:
2 x Double beds, 1 x queen; 4 x singles. Doona sizes are - 3 queen and 4 single.
Linen hire is available from our office but needs to arranged at least one week in advance. Linen packs cost $50.00 per pack per bed without bedmaking, or $75 with bedmaking.

HOW TO PAY FOR ANY EXTRAS:
If a fee needs to be paid separately because your booking has come through to our office from a portal such as AirbNb, booking.com, vrbo or homeaway/stayz, our office will need to provide you with our direct bank account details to pay the money into. If the booking is through our website direct, guests can choose this extra at the time of booking or call our office to ask to have the fee added to the tariff. Festival of Sails

Dates: 25-January-2020 - 27-January-2020
With over 15 different race series catering from the highest performance Grand Prix racers to trailable cruisers, the varied race action is sure to offer something for everyone, and spectators will certainly not be disappointed. First held in 1844, the Festival of Sails is Victoria's oldest ongoing sporting event, and the largest annual keel boat regatta in the Southern Hemisphere. For those not competing on-water, there is plenty of shore-side excitement taking place with over 100,000 people flocking to the stunning Waterfront Geelong over the Australia Day holiday period to be part of the excitement. The Fireworks Extravaganza will take place on the Geelong Waterfront on Australia Day, 26 January 2019.

Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race

Dates: 01-January-2020 - 31-January-2020
The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race is a pro event being staged in Geelong and the Surf Coast for the sixth consecutive year in January 2020. (Specific dates yet to be confirmed). Thousands of elite cyclists will be in Geelong this summer to be part of the third Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race - expected to be bigger and better than the previous events! Consisting of the 174km Elite Men’s Race, which in a coup for the event, has secured a place on the coveted UCI WorldTour racing calendar (2017-2019), announced by world cycling’s governing body, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), and 113km Elite Women’s Race (also endorsed with an official UCI classification). Riders will travel from the Geelong Waterfront to Barwon Heads, Torquay and return. There's also an open participation event - the Swisse People's Ride, enabling approx. 4,000 cyclists to ride the course. There are 65km and 111km courses again, plus the introduction of a new, shorter course - 35km.
