Located in the heart of Queenscliff this spotless dog friendly home is a 2 minute walk to the local cafe, 3 minutes to the Swan Bay walking and bike tracks into Point Lonsdale, and 5 minutes to the beach and the Hesse St town centre. The front of the home is a classic 19th century cottage that has been renovated and extended, resulting in a lovely, comfy light filled home. The house boasts all the modern amenities including central hydronic heating throughout, a wood fire heater and R/C air-conditioner.
Galway Cottage is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home - the main bedroom is at the rear of the home. It is carpeted and has a king bed, TV, ceiling fan and french doors to the back deck and yard. It also has a beautiful luxurious ensuite with a rain head shower. The 2nd bedroom is also carpeted and has a queen bed and ceiling fan and the 3rd bedroom has timber floors with a rug and contains a pair of single bunkbeds. The second bathroom includes a deep bath, shower, vanity and heated towel rails with a separate toilet. The accommodation would be suitable for two smaller families or two couples to share.
The Cottage has two living areas, the front living area in the original part of the house includes a comfy window seat that provides a great spot to read a book or just watch the world go by, a new wood burner and a breakfast table leading into the lovely open galley kitchen. The kitchen has a gas cooker, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and all the amenities you would require. The back living area has feature glass sliding doors on either side to catch the cross breeze, and links onto the generous back deck and large garden with lots of fruit trees. This living area has a large flat screen Smart TV, air-conditioner and dining table with seating for 8.
The house has a large laundry with a front loader washing machine and dryer. If you need to do the washing, these amenities make short work of it. The laundry is a generous size making it perfect to store your beach or outdoor gear in.
The outside deck area offers a great spot for BBQ's with an outdoor dining suite plus a fire pit for the cooler evenings. Beyond the decking is a great grassed area full of fruit trees you may help yourselves to when in season. Up the rear of the property is the children's cubby house and clothes line. The house is perfect for you to bring your fur baby as its fencing is secure and the garden has plenty of room for them to play and explore.
Galway Cottage has loads of features making it a perfect family or couples getaway in both winter and summer. Wood burner, hydronic heating, air-conditioning, outdoor shower and quality finishes. A starter pack of wood is supplied but you will need to source your own wood if you wish to continue using it throughout your stay. The property is walking distance to train, cafe, shops, main street, churches, tennis and bowling club and the beach & yacht club and has easy access to the bike and walking path along Swan Bay.
Dogs are permitted at this property for an additional $33.00 fee per pet. Please also bring your own dog bedding, bowls, towels etc. If you require specific conditions at the property for your dog, such as secure fencing, please ring our office to discuss prior to booking.
Linen is not provided at this property but if required, can be added for an extra fee: or, you can bring your own sheets, pillow cases, doona covers, towels, bath mats & tea towels. The bedding configuration is: 1 x king, 1 x queen, and 4 x single. . Linen hire is available from our office but needs to arranged at least one week in advance. Linen packs cost $50.00 per pack per bed without bedmaking, or $75 with bedmaking.
HOW TO PAY FOR ANY EXTRAS:
If a fee needs to be paid separately because your booking has come through to our office from a portal such as AirbNb, booking.com, vrbo or homeaway/stayz, our office will need to provide you with our direct bank account details to pay the money into. If the booking is through our website direct, guests can choose this extra at the time of booking or call our office to ask to have the fee added to the tariff. Your credit card details will be retained as a Security Bond.
