Sea Pilot's Cottage is located in central Queenscliff opposite the parklands and beach and just a 5 minute stroll to the shopping precinct, restaurants, cafes and galleries. Including luxurious linen and towels for your comfort and convenience Sea Pilot's Cottage is beautifully renovated and stylishly furnished. It was originally built for the Sea Pilots of Port Phillip back in 1854, it was also used by the officers of the Queenscliff Fort and now it is available for guest to enjoy.
The owner's mindset for the renovation was to ensure entertaining was easy and fun. Situated at the rear of the home and all open plan - the living area has a new Rinnai Gas Heater, King lounge furniture, comfy armchairs, 43 inch Smart TV and R/C airconditioner. The kitchen has a side by side Liebherr fridge freezer with ice maker, large gas stove, loads of appliances, coffee machine, dishwasher and all the amenities required to entertain family and friends. A wood pot belly heater throws a lot of heat and gives a wonderful ambience in the cooler months. The dining area has seating for 6 and there are additional stools around the kitchen bench for casual meals or just to enjoy a drink while chatting.
The deck has a great outdoor setting, sun umbrella and a chiminea - you will need to supply your own firewood if you wish to use any of the wood heaters. The back yard has a lovely grass garden area with a BBQ and rear double gates in case you would like to get your car off the street - please note the garage is not available for guest's use.
There is a R/C airconditioner in the rear of the home and a gas space heater in the front, as well as portable fans and heaters if required. Being so close to the beach you are guaranteed to enjoy the cool sea breezes late afternoons.
The front Verandah has a cosy setting where you can enjoy a cup of tea while reading a book or you could stroll across the road for a refreshing swim in the very private front beach or just sit on one of the bench seats and watch the Sea Pilots being picked up from their pier and taken out to scramble up the ladder of a large ship, then steering them safely through the rip.
Sea Pilot's Cottage has a charming front sitting room with a large 63 inch Smart TV where you can watch your favourite shows, Netflix’s or sport. It features 3 queen bedrooms with quality linen, one with TV and office desk, stunning bathrooms - one is ensuited to the main bedroom and has a luxurious soaker bath, walk in shower, vanity and toilet. The other shower is conveniently located in the dual purpose bathroom/laundry with a front loader washing machine and heat pump dryer. An additional toilet is separate.
Ideally located for guests wanting to attend the Music Festival, Hot Rodders Weekend, Sunday Markets, weddings or just for easy family holidays. You won't need your car, you can walk to all the conveniences, parklands and beach but a car is easier if you are looking for a game of golf as it's just across the bridge at Swan Island. Restaurants at the Marina shouldn't be missed along with a trip on the ferry or Dolphin Boat. Steam Train rides or quiet bush walks, there is so much to enjoy including wine tastings and beer Floats at the local Hotels. This really is a beautifully designed comfortable home in the best location in Queenscliff! Once you've stayed here you will want to come back again and again.
