Hello it’s been a while since we last posted a Blog, so thought it was time, what’s been happening?
Well…the new norm is changing all the time but what is not changing is all our lovely guests coming to see us!
It seems our off peak is now an ongoing steady peak which is great, we have a lot of new homes coming onto our portfolio in Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale giving you even more choice and reason to head for the Bellarine.
We have a new team member Ginger, as sadly we said good bye to Hazel.
The office is a buzz with puppy proofing and getting Ginger up to speed with her new PA role and meet and greet work as Hazel had big paws to fill. Any Tips?

The new norm – working from home with my trusty PA.  Hazel is taking it all VERY seriously!  She has decided that some of our holiday homes could be used for short to mid term stays for people stuck in between houses for 1 – 5 months. Perhaps they have sold their home and the new diggs isn’t ready just yet.  Or maybe someone on a work contract.  Perhaps testing the lifestyle with a Seachange.  There could be many reasons – The rates will be lower than off peak – that is really low!  And will include reasonable use of power, gas, water and wifi.

We can also arrange linen as an extra if it’s not already provided and cleaning!

As the world rapidly approaches 8 billion people, trying to squeeze 1.3 billion tonnes of annual waste (projected to soar to 4 billion tonnes by 2100) into overflowing landfills is no easy task. In fact a lot of our waste ends up in our environment where it can impact on wildlife and take thousands and thousands of years to break down. But we can all take steps to minimise the amount of waste we create, by swapping single-use items for ones that are more durable.

With this in mind have asked our property owners to consider moving away from the single use bathroom products that are currently provided at each property clean. I have found a wonderful company called Two Good Co. Two Good Co is an Australian social enterprise designed to support local communities. Products are 100% Australian made using wholesome, natural ingredients. Each product purchased supports shelters and services for domestic abuse survivors.

I have reached out to our owners and have received overwhelming support in moving away from the single use products and we are beginning to phase in the Two Good Co  refillable pump dispensers.   We believe even these small things can help if everyone gets on board.

Guest surveys are a sure way of keeping a finger on the pulse of guest expectations.
It has been the industry norm in our region to have competitive tariffs with the option of linen hire as an extra. We are finding that there is now a gradual expectation for linen & towels to be included in a holiday rental.
We are currently looking at ways on how we can meet this market demand and will follow up with further correspondence on this in the near future.
